Gaode mentioned that walking navigation is one of the functions that users use frequently. Our sight is often blocked by “tall” objects such as green plants and buildings on the street, which makes walking more complicated than driving. “Traffic conditions”, repeatedly unlocking the phone to check the navigation has become a “pain point”. Apple mobile phone users only need to update the system version to iOS16.1 and download and install the latest version of the AutoNavi Maps APP (version 12.00.03) to use the “lock screen navigation”. The launch of this function allows users to take out their mobile phones to obtain guidance information, thereby making walking navigation more efficient.
While launching a new version of the APP that supports “Smart Island”, AutoNavi also added the “Picture-in-Picture” navigation function to the Android client. As long as users update the system version to Android 8.0 and above, they can start the latest experience during walking navigation.
