I remember it was in mid-August, when Nintendo announced the eve festival at the end of the month, and everyone was looking forward to the new Splatoon work.
I was no exception. I was looking forward to it. I even bought the second-generation cassette while waiting for the official release of the third-generation. At this time, a friend from the Youyan Club came to me and told me, shall we hold a painting competition?
Then we both said in unison: How about the spray theme?
One shot is complete, the theme is set to Sprague, and the prize is the amiibo of the third and second generations. That’s when I finally learned the pros and cons of being a tournament organizer.
The advantage is that when you want “fan food”, you don’t need to do it yourself, as long as you look at the paintings of the bosses happily; .
During the competition, many good works emerged in the App community of Youyanshe. Among them, 48% of the total and 116 votes won the title, and it was the three-generation idol Sasha drawn by social friend Chen Xilian.
This piece of work is excellent in terms of perspective, composition, color, etc. Salsa has a charming look in her cold pride, the looming bandages and tulle wrapped around her body, and the jade feet that are the finishing touch, all together Paired with a kind of “thrust” beauty. In the comment area, there are still demons dancing, ghosts and wolves, and finally they converge into one sentence: “I have a friend…”
The paintings of social friend @ Jingxiaijingjingyoutiao are like a refreshing wind. The clear brushstrokes are matched with the blue and translucent sky, the small squid holding the roller is agile and tense, and the splashed ink adds a touch of dynamism to the picture. The whole picture is very like summer, and it makes people feel more relaxed. It is a work that makes people feel happy just by seeing it.
Next is shaw99, a friend of “even though I lost three and two, I still play every day.” The little squid in the painting also uses an invincible roller as a weapon. The pink hair and cute look complement each other’s costumes. It seems to be standing on the street, facing the camera facing him with a posture of vitality.

Next is the linkage work of “Xenoblade Chronicles 3” X “Sprague 3” drawn by social friend @小網Ningning! The Xenomorph 3 character Mi Yang is transformed into a little squid, holding double guns, with refreshing color matching, smart movements, playful expression, and extremely cute. It’s a piece of work that I personally like very much.
The big guy @bbzerol drew “the new love Xiaolu and the wipers who don’t love him”, which sounds like a sad story behind it. This piece of work is very dynamic, with a cool expression, and the background is also full of strong street fashion styles, etc… How can your weapon look a notch better than mine!
Then there is the handsome squid drawn by social friend @Alphabet Starfish! The color, line, perspective, and atmosphere of this work are all very good, and there is a kind of abstinence-like “squeaky” feeling (no), I don’t know why it is unexpectedly unpopular, is it because of the male seafood in the painting? hateful.
The works of social friend @bUER, as always, have a wonderful charm. Lovely and realistic brushstrokes are his signature style. In fact, bUER had already drawn this picture a few days before the competition started.
Social friend @大咩’s Gatling garter squid has also been loved by many people.
The salsa drawn by social friend @ Platinum Egg Fried Rice is very textured! Some friends said that it looks like modeling, and the accompanying line art and coloring process are also very interesting.

Next is the completed work of the dead line drawn in the era of social friend @My One Coin Clearance… During the drawing process, he recalled the past of cleaning the house by himself in order to save money and his wife, and he was a little embarrassed.
The rash little squid painted by social friend @park manhole cover, the pink hair was stained with the ink of the opponent, and the panicked gesture made the heart beat faster. This painting is by a lovely author. I am very disappointed that the work did not enter the voting stage, which makes me a little guilty.

Finally, I recommend a little comic brought by my friend. This is a comic-loving maker with a magical style. I met him in the support club of virtual idols. At that time, he often drew some funny and magical cartoons for them, which was loved by many DDs.
After the painting competition started, I forwarded the news from Youyanshe. After he saw it, he planned to come and try it.
That’s how this little comic was born.
Unfortunately, he did not understand the rules of the competition, so this little cartoon was “killed” in the voting stage!
This is the first event that has been held since the artist group was founded. There are some regrets, but more satisfaction.
