Friends who follow me on Twitter know that at the end of February this year, after a long preparation period, I finally came to the United States with my family. As a newcomer, I am full of freshness and at the same time I am in a hurry. Although I have done a lot of homework, I still seem to be insufficiently prepared. After all, not everything is expected. But on the whole, the progress of our settlement down is still very fast. Basically, all important and urgent matters have been settled in two weeks. Here I write an article to record the detours I have gone through. My solution is not the optimal one, because it is mainly fast, and it may not be applicable to other parts of the United States, after all, the United States is very big . “Detours” are always inevitable and are for future reference only.

International students can consider sharing a room. , People with families suggest giving up directly.
  • Little Red Book. I didn’t expect that Xiaohongshu is used frequently in North America. If you don’t mind the trouble, you can post or search on it. It’s a bit like when I was young when I was looking for a house in the Douban group. The quality of the information is a bit low. A little higher, there are many intermediaries above.
  • Zillow . Going directly to Zillow to look at the map and filter I think is the most efficient way to find a house.
  • Find a broker. It is suitable for rich people who have clear needs and do not want to spend time. It is best to directly find an intermediary to help you view and screen the house.

I personally recommend Zillow. Z…
