On September 11, the latest report from Sensor Tower Store Intelligence showed that in the first half of 2022, the products launched by the top 1% of publishers in the App Store and Google Play ate the majority of the global share. The revenue is even more exaggerated. The top 1% publishers (about 1,800) in the global app collectively account for 91% of the total revenue, or about $42 billion; the remaining 183,000 companies share 9% of the market share, or $4 billion . Among game and non-game publishers, Tencent topped the list with revenue of about $3.3 billion in the first half of the year, which is 153% higher than the second-placed ByteDance ($1.3 billion), with only Honor of Kings and Products that have dominated the list all year round, such as “PUBG Mobile”, have eaten up more than 7% of the global in-game purchase revenue.
