According to the news from Weiwang, CINNO Research pointed out in the latest report that the global panel shipment area is expected to decrease by 7% year-on-year in 2022, and the shipment volume will decrease by more than 8% year-on-year. The output value fell by 23% year-on-year.

Looking forward to 2023, CINNO Research believes that consumer electronics terminal demand is still difficult to see a significant recovery, and the challenge of oversupply of panels still exists. Global panel shipments will maintain a slight downward trend in 2023, and the global panel output value in 2023 is expected to be comparable to that in 2022.

From the perspective of various categories, in addition to the global automotive display panel shipments expected to increase by 6% year-on-year in 2022 and 7% year-on-year in 2023, TV, Monitor, Notebook, Tablet, and Smartphone panels are expected to grow in 2022 and 2023. declines to varying degrees.

Regarding when the panel industry will recover, AUO Chairman Peng Shuanglang once said that the panel industry has indeed reached the bottom, and this wave is L-shaped. Although it is hard to say how long the bottom will last, a future rebound can be expected. As for the speed and time of the rebound, it depends on the recent inventory adjustment speed. Yang Zhuxiang, general manager of Innolux, believes that the second quarter of this year is cautiously optimistic, and the third quarter is expected to usher in the peak season.
