Laptop users with Intel CPUs and integrated graphics are best not to upgrade to the latest stable kernel Linux 5.19.12, as the LCD display may be damaged. An Intel user using Linux 5.19.12 reported a white flickering display issue, with one user describing the display flickering like 1990s party dance lights. Intel kernel engineer Ville Syrjal checked the logs and found that the issue was related to the Intel GPU’s display driver. Stable kernel maintainer Greg Kroah-Hartman has released Linux 5.19.13 , which fixes a buggy display driver. Greg said there is no need to upgrade if users don’t experience problems with it.
