Intel has released the XeSS 1.0 source code, hosted on GitHub under the Intel Simplified Software license. XeSS stands for Xe Super Sampling and is a frame rate boosting technology developed by Intel for its graphics cards, similar to AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution and NVIDIA DLSS. It’s technically closer to DLSS, leveraging AI deep learning to boost performance without degrading game image quality. XeSS currently only supports Windows and DirectX 12 games.
