If people in the future were given a time-travel button, would anyone choose to come to the years marked as the early 2020s? There should be very few people like this, just like us at this moment, we are celebrating our new life non-stop, and tacitly keep silent about the past. We talk about the need to travel, to meet, to change jobs, to buy a new house…in this way, we try to cut off the river of memory on the scale of time.
It’s exciting to build the future, but what future isn’t woven by the aural telling of stories from the past? Returning to the past may be difficult and painful, and it may make people want to procrastinate and escape, but it is always a homework that cannot be lazy. The mind confirms the meaning of continuing to seek.
The season when people pin many hopes has arrived, and the 8th One-Way Street Bookstore Literary Award of “The Road to the Future” is coming again as promised.
