Titanium dioxide, an additive used in pigments, adhesives and plastics, can cause changes in human DNA, damage organs such as the brain, and damage the liver and kidneys. According to the report, Mars said in October 2016 that it would gradually abandon the use of titanium dioxide in food production in the next few years.
