Fenghuang.com Technology News Beijing time on January 4th, Guo Minghao, a well-known Apple analyst at TF International Securities, issued a document today saying that BOE has won most of the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus display orders, and will beat Samsung and Samsung in 2024 at the earliest. LG Display became the largest display supplier for the new iPhone.

Guo Minghao said that BOE has beaten Samsung to obtain most of the display orders for the new iPhone 15 and 15 Plus released in the second half of this year. If the development and production in the next few months go smoothly, BOE will become the largest display supplier for the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, with a supply ratio of about 70%, and Samsung about 30%.

He pointed out that in the iPhone 14 series, BOE has only obtained display orders for the 6.1-inch version of the iPhone 14, and the proportion of iPhone display shipments in 2022 will only be about 12–15%. Therefore, even if iPhone shipments are negatively affected by the economic recession in 2023, BOE can easily achieve a 70–100% year-on-year high shipment growth in 2023 due to the low base of iPhone display shipments in 2022, which is significantly better than most Apple supplier.

Moreover, BOE expects to ship a large number of LTPO displays used in high-end iPhones in 2024. Meanwhile, Samsung and LG Display are also suppliers of high-end models. If BOE can obtain about 20-30% of the high-end iPhone LTPO display orders and maintain a shipment ratio of about 70% for low-end iPhone displays, BOE has the opportunity to become the largest display supplier for the new iPhone in the second half of 2024.
