Since I have more and more movie reviews on Douban, I plan to create a new column: “Moonlight Film Review”, which is dedicated to backing up and synchronizing my movie reviews on Douban.
The main reasons for opening a dedicated website are:
1. Data backup. I store more and more data in Douban. If Douban is closed one day, or my account is deleted, then my decades of data will be gone, so I save the data in I’m safer in my own hands.
2. Easy to search. I have a lot of movie reviews on Douban, but I can’t search for keywords. After the data is placed on my website, I can search the full text locally through various search engines.
3. It is convenient to browse. I can use the website to customize more browsing methods instead of just using Douban’s browsing method.
Currently, I grab my movie reviews from Douban through a small program I wrote myself. The categories and tags follow Douban’s own classification and label names, and then I import the captured data into my own database file. The structure is adjusted the same as the website. In this way, it will be synchronized to my website, and this website will be updated synchronously with my Douban in the future.
