Musk terminates acquisition of Twitter, Twitter says it will sue

Elon Musk on Friday terminated an agreement to buy Twitter , and Twitter’s chairman promised to go to court. In a letter to Twitter’s general counsel, Musk said he terminated the agreement because Twitter was unwilling to share the requested information with him, and that the information that had been shared confirmed his view that the number of bot accounts on Twitter More than the company claims in regulatory announcements. Musk said it would terminate the merger agreement because Twitter had materially violated multiple terms of the agreement, appeared to have made false and misleading representations when Musk entered into the merger agreement, and could suffer material adverse changes to the company. Bret Taylor, Twitter chairman and co-CEO of Salesforce.com (CRM), responded to Musk with a tweet, promising to take him to Delaware court.
