NASA considers using SpaceX’s Crew Dragon as backup spaceship for astronauts

NASA and Roscosmos are investigating the cause of a ruptured coolant line in the external radiator of the Soyuz spacecraft MS-22. The spacecraft was originally planned to return two Russian cosmonauts and one American astronaut to Earth next February. Russia is studying an emergency launch of another Soyuz spacecraft. But if Russia is unable to launch the spacecraft, NASA is considering using SpaceX’s manned spacecraft Crew Dragon. One difference between the Crew Dragon spacecraft and the Soyuz spacecraft is that it has 4 seats. Another big problem is that the spacesuits and seats of both spacecraft are custom-made.
