The newly released images include : A spectrogram of the exoplanet ” WASP-96b ” in the Milky Way, which is located about 1,150 light-years from Earth in the southern constellation Phoenix. The spectrogram shows for the first time that the planet has water, haze and Clouds and other features; the Southern Ring Nebula , about 2,000 light-years from Earth, which image shows the planetary nebula in its entirety; Stephen ‘s Quintet in Pegasus, which reveals the velocity and composition of gas near the galaxy’s supermassive black hole ; the Carina Nebula , image showing its earliest, rapidly forming stages.
