Nissan China releases September sales results

(October 10, 2022, Beijing) Nissan Motor Co. today announced its results for September and January-September 2022 in China. Nissan’s sales in China, including passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, in September were 92,071 units, of which Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. (DFL)’s passenger car business segment (including Nissan, Venucia and Infiniti brands) Sales were 80,564 units, and the light commercial vehicle segment (including Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. and Zhengzhou Nissan) sold 11,507 units, down 11.8%, 6.2%, and 38.0% year-on-year, respectively.

Mr. Shohei Yamazaki, Senior Vice President of Nissan Motor Company, Chairman of Nissan China Management Committee, and President of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd., said: “At present, the supply of parts and components is constantly improving, and the overall domestic epidemic situation has improved. He said that with the successive launch of electric drive models such as Nissan e-POWER Sylphy, ARIYA, Venucia D60EV and Venucia T60EV in the Chinese market, the implementation of the company’s electric drive strategy will be further accelerated.

Among them, the sales volume of Nissan brand models was 70,016 units; the sales volume of Venucia brand models was 10,142 units, a year-on-year increase of 114.3% and a month-on-month increase of 33%.
    • Dongfeng Nissan (including Nissan, Venucia and Infiniti brands) sold 703,977 units from January to September. Among them, the cumulative sales volume of Nissan brand models was 626,048 units; the cumulative sales volume of Venucia brand models was 72,473 units, a year-on-year increase of 42.4%.
  • Light commercial vehicle business segment of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. (Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. and Zhengzhou Nissan)
    • The light commercial vehicle segment sold 11,507 units in September. Among them, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. sold 8,180 units; Zhengzhou Nissan sold 3,327 units.

  • Dongfeng Nissan ‘s sales of sedan and SUV models in September and January-September are as follows:
    • Nissan’s seventh-generation Teana ALTIMA (14,447 units sold) and the Sylphy series (35,926 units sold) drove sales growth of Nissan- branded sedan models this month. Nissan’s seventh-generation Teana ALTIMA from January to September (cumulative sales of 119,133 units) drove the growth of Nissan’s sedan models from January to September.
    • Nissan Qashqai (13,005 units sold) drove growth in Nissan- branded SUV models this month.
    • Venucia V (3,542 units sold), Venucia D60 series (5,927 units sold), Venucia D60EV (5,430 units sold, up 543% year-on-year) drove Venucia ‘s September sales growth. Venucia pure electric models (including D60EV and Venucia T60EV, etc.) sold a total of 5,633 units.
    • The QX50, Q50L, all-new Infiniti QX60 and all-new QX55 drove Dongfeng Infiniti ‘s sales growth in September.
  • Dongfeng Motor Co. , Ltd. sold a total of 98,887 units from January to September, including 11,908 new energy vehicles and 6,251 export models.
  • The Nissan Navara and Dongfeng Ruiqi pickups (2,426 units sold) boosted Zhengzhou Nissan ‘s September sales growth.
