Nothing, a new company founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, has raised more than $200 million to launch its first phone, the Phone (1) , in July. Essential, founded by Android co-founder Andy Rubin, raised $330 million, but its first phone sold less than 100,000 units in half a year before closing in 2020, while Pei Yu co-founded OnePlus, one of the few successful Android smartphones Start-up companies. Phone (1) is a unique design with a transparent back, which can see the electronic components such as wireless charging coils. It uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor and runs a modified version of the Android system Nothing OS.
