Reboot the computer and start writing

When I was at a loss, I prayed to God, and God showed me the way to go. I put a spare notebook, deleted redundant software, and only installed VIM as my main writing tool. Any second brain, note-taking software, and knowledge management software are not installed unless necessary. If I need to synchronize, I naturally have a way to synchronize and publish directly to the blog, which are all feasible paths.

However, the best way is to open a VPN and use GIT for backup, so that what you write will not be lost. Backups are never out of date.

At first, I had concerns about installing a VPN. If the VPN is turned on, what should I do if I continue to swipe?

It is redundant to consider these issues. Will WeChat become addicted? Will too. So do you need to install the desktop version of WeChat? Still have to install, in order to better communicate with others. Don’t give up food because of choking.

I believe that after this arrangement, I will manage myself better. Don’t let yourself fall into the fog of software and get distracted by knowledge management.

Simply write this, the key is to see if you can stick to it.

Long-termism has little to do with tools, and in the end it is only about spirit.

Now my software configuration:

  • Writing: MacVim
  • Smart note management: The Archive
  • Markdown and Blog Publishing: Byword
  • text editing software
    • Sublime Text
    • An internal editing software developed by a friend. It is not external, and it is best not to mention the name. I call it my e-Moleskine.
  • Git: Github Desktop
  • Shortcut input: TextExpander

These are more than enough, enough. You might say it, but still haven’t written a dream of Red Mansions.

It’s true that it hasn’t been written yet, but at least I can write the “Blind Reading Red Mansions” series.
