It has been half a month since ” MarkMark Version 0.3 Release: Support Reader Mode “, and MarkMark has made great progress in this half month, so version 0.4 came like this.
First of all, unlike the previous announcement, the “Mark” function did not appear in version 0.4, but there is already a preview. If you are interested in this, you can watch the preview directly later in this article.
So what is the focus of this version? That is import.
I believe that many users have used at least one “Read it later” service, and have generated a lot of useful data on it. MarkMark public beta so far, you also think it is good, have plans to migrate to MarkMark, so you want to import the previous data into MarkMark.
In MarkMark 0.4, data import from the following products has been supported:
- Instapaper
- readwise
- Matter
- Pinboards
- Pockets
- Raindrop
- Good Links
Some of these products have offline + highlighted data (such as Matter), and MarkMark does not support labeling at the moment, so they are not imported, and these will be completed in future versions.
Of course, the above are just some popular Read it later products, and I did it because users mentioned specific needs. It is definitely not covered. If you need to import other product data not listed above, please give me feedback.
There is also a common import interface here, that is Plaintext, that is to say, as long as you save the link (URL) of the webpage you want to import into the txt text one by one, then you can import it in MarkMark.
I hope that the improvement of the import function will make it easier for everyone to start using MarkMark.
Outlook for version 0.5
The 0.5 version will focus on the annotation function, and a preview version has been completed. You can watch this video for a sneak peek:
As you can see, the annotation function is based on simplicity and ease of use, allowing you to easily mark key points and add notes. In the future, there will be a unified entrance to view all key points and annotations, which is convenient for content review.
Well, that’s all for this issue, let’s see you in the next version!
