RememBear is a password manager service that has been in existence for 6 years. The vision is to “enable 97% of users to use a password manager”, but they can’t stand it anymore and will be closed on July 18, 2023 Serve. @Appinn
Niche Software introduced this service in 2017: https://www.appinn.com/remembear/
Little Green Frog was impressed by the bear:
It appears in many interfaces of the software:
In a flash, it’s about to close.

goodbye raymond bear
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the end of our support for RememBear.
Our journey to build a world-class password manager began 6 years ago, and we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished in the privacy and security community.
RememBear will be available for download and use by existing users until July 18, 2023 .
Why did we make this decision?
It wasn’t an easy decision for our team to make, but our goal is to be transparent with our fans and supporters, along with your favorite Bears, in delivering the service you need.
Since the release of RememBear in 2018, we’ve had a hard time getting into password manager territory. We know we have the best security, the best user experience, the best practices, and the best bears. However, we soon discovered that we were just a little too late. By the time RememBear was released, many users had already found their password solution, and switching to the new service was simply too much.
We eventually realized that instead of allowing RememBear to survive without active development, rather than making it a security risk for those who depend on it, we needed to officially end support. The security of your passwords and the quality of RememBear are too important.
What does this mean to you?
We are taking action to ensure that service is not interrupted for existing users and that our paying users receive appropriate refunds.
Existing users can expect the following:
- Users will no longer be able to create new accounts. If you already have a RememBear account, you can continue to use RememBear until July 18, 2023.
- We will no longer sell RememBear, and subscriptions will no longer automatically renew for users who have subscription renewal enabled.
- All existing users will be automatically upgraded to premium accounts. If you already have a RememBear subscription, you will receive a prorated refund within 5-10 business days.
- While we won’t release any updates containing new features or designs, we will continue to prioritize fixing any security issues and bugs.
Steps to Protect Your Password
It’s important to stress that all existing users will continue to have access to RememBear Premium until July 18, 2023 . We plan to keep our service running for 1 year from the date of this post. This is to ensure existing users have time to find a replacement without feeling stressed or rushed.
- Be sure to replace the password manager.
- Export your current RememBear vault . Note: You can only export from Windows or macOS desktop applications.
- After adding the password to the new password manager, you can delete the account .
While we’re sad to say goodbye, we thank everyone who made RememBear possible. If you have any questions or need help, please feel free to contact us .
Thanks again for your support, 19 July 2022
