Repeat and fate

For those who have passed the college entrance examination, if you can only get two grades, do you want to repeat it?

Here are my thoughts.

I got the second one at the time, and I thought it was pretty good except that the tuition was a bit more expensive. My personal opinion is that no one can predict the fate, repeating and not repeating are two different branches. Of course, saying this is tantamount to not saying it. So let me try to talk on paper:

We assume that repeating the exam will definitely pass the exam, then we can simplify the problem into a game: whether to use one year of life to exchange this college degree?

I have a high school classmate who chose to repeat, and finally got into a better school than not repeating, but in my understanding of him and my personal perception, there is no big difference between whether he repeats or not.

In my limited empirical observation, the distance between people and the gap between one book and two books only account for a very, very small part. The most important thing is the person himself. Where, what life do you want, and what are you pursuing. Then take this as a premise, whether you can work hard to find resources for your goals, and use your own subjective initiative to tend to your goals. Then grab it when luck strikes you.

As some people commented on me, I “just catch the last train every time”. I think this assessment is correct. I was originally a 2018 college graduate, but I dropped out in 2015. No one knows whether it was good or bad after I dropped out of school, and I don’t know, but we looked back after the fact. Dropping out at that time made me catch up with the “last train” of Internet development. If I waited until graduation, I would be in this wave When I started to retreat, I, a second-year student, might not be able to get into my current state. The “last train” had already left.

My example is not worth following. Whether I can get on the “last train” depends on the timing and the hard work I have put in that others may not see. But what I want to express is that when making a choice, the very important factor of “time” cannot be underestimated. A year earlier and a year later, you will meet different people (which determines your network), which will affect where you are in the wave, and so on.

This world is the result of a series of random events. There is no good or bad in it. Good and bad are defined by our own efforts. If this friend is not clear about his goal, then there seems to be no essential difference between one year earlier and one year later. As long as he can maintain a good mental state during the year of repeating the study, then repeating the study is not a problem. A bad choice.

Only in the state of “goal + willingness to work hard” can the lottery of life be played as a Texas Hold’em that can be won with a bad hand.
