“Robot Express 1: Anything Can Be Mailed” is a book written for middle and lower grade children who are just learning to read. The story is well told, adults will also get pleasure and inspiration from reading it.

In the future, jobs in all walks of life will be handed over to robots. The same is true for express delivery, where robots provide services for humans. The advantage of the machine is of course efficiency and making money. But there is an older type of robot, Bara, who sees humanity.

She saw that human beings sent all kinds of strange things, not the “things”, but the “heart” to another person far away. And what humans need is not just “fast”. Sometimes spending a little more time helping customers is the real service.

I like the analogy from the real world of the author Guo Jingting very much. The robot in the story is actually the status quo of all walks of life in our era, in pursuit of efficiency, turning people and processes into machines. Children will easily understand.

Bara later kicked out the company with another robot, Billy, and their robot boss. What did Billy do wrong? He unpacked all the packages, “corrected” the children’s paintings that he thought were bad, and “repaired” the broken ones.

Was Billy wrong when he said he fixed things? Bara told him not to open the guest’s package without authorization, “Moreover, the work made from the heart is far more important than whether it is well done!”

Where are they going? If you don’t continue to serve humans, you will be recycled by the factory and reorganized into new robots.

They later decided to start their own business and open a different courier company called “Everything can be sent to TA-Q-BIN”. The second half of this book is about their first case after starting their own company.

A little boy dragged a large block of ice and said he was going to send it to the polar bear in the North Pole. Billy said: “If you really want to help them, at least tens of thousands of tons of ice this size…”

Bara said: “Human caring is like a small tree. As long as it is irrigated with nutrients, it will grow bigger and care for more people… If we can help him realize his wish, he will have More confidence and ability to accomplish greater aspirations!”

The last third of the book is Bara and Billy’s thrilling delivery. I won’t be thundering.

I wrote ” The Value of the Postal Times ” last year, and I was talking about these things.

The post office is home: “At the post office (waiting) is to take a break and watch the people and things around you slowly unfold. It is a place where you can feel at ease and slow down as if you were at home. “Slowness” is rarely a problem.”

The post is secular: “Postal services go everywhere, even in remote places. Postal services have more contact with people, whether at the post office or at the door of the house. Compared with competitive business or other government services, there are more A good service contact point is also easier to leave an impression in the hearts of customers.”

The postal service is emotional: “The postal business is connected with people and the emotions behind it. The same is true for foreign exchange savings. Many needs of customers come from life situations. Many people’s first financial account in life, and engraved the first account to open an account A seal belongs to Chunghwa Post.”

A letter or a package is never just a piece of mail, but a connection between people. A deposit is never just adding a few numbers to the gold book, but the accumulation of life.

Service is the process of creating value together. How much value you can create for customers is how much value customers can bring to you.

The introduction of technology and digital transformation are inevitable trends. Improving efficiency and reducing costs are of course value. But on top of this, new technologies should also be able to promote the transmission and manifestation of humanity. That’s the higher value.
