Pinwan, January 5th, Samsung Electronics announced at the CES Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas on January 5th that it launched a smart home control device SmartThings Station that can be used as a wireless charging board. This is also Samsung’s first SmartThings Station that natively supports the Matter universal connection protocol, so it can connect to more smart home devices.

The smart home hub allows users to remotely connect accessories such as lights, door locks and thermostats in their homes, helping Samsung Galaxy owners track the location of their registered devices, the company said. In addition, the SmartThings Station can also be used as a wireless charging pad with a maximum power of 15W. The device will launch in the U.S. and South Korea, with a black or white version coming to the U.S. market in early February 2023.
