Samsung participates in the construction of Japanese telecom operator NTT East 5G private network

On October 23, according to IT House, Samsung announced that its 5G network equipment was adopted by Japanese telecom operator NTT East for its 5G private network.

The Japanese telecom operator is using Samsung Network’s cloud-native 5G Macro Core and Radio Access Network (RAN). This will enhance connectivity and unlock diverse use cases for many businesses across various industries in Japan. NTT East chose Samsung Electronics for the deployment of its 5G private network in March this year. Both NTT East and Samsung have conducted numerous tests and demonstrations on how to optimize Samsung’s 5G technology and network solutions for NTT East’s customers. eventually led to commercialization. Samsung is supplying NTT East with its 5G network solutions, including its indoor and outdoor radios, baseband units, and cloud-native 5G Macro Core. The core solution supports mid-band (4.75GHz) spectrum dedicated to Japan’s local 5G private network.
