This time we did not choose to take public transportation, but chose to drive by ourselves, and the self-driving car was a new energy vehicle (Great Wall Euler Black Cat). Simply record this self-driving trip and the scenery of the North Sea.
Euler’s performance
Before setting off, I checked 8 service areas on the road, 4 of which support charging. According to past experience, Euler will get a 60-30% discount on high speeds, which means that the nominal 301km can only run 180km, and theoretically only needs to be charged once halfway. However, considering the need to drive around after entering Beihai, simply charge it twice in the service area, and simply charge it for a while the second time.
I left as soon as I said it, taking advantage of Share’s home office on Friday, and after I finished my work, the two of them set off early.
It was very sunny on the road, but the hot weather did not affect our happy mood. Roll up the car windows, play the song, blow on the air conditioner, hum a little song, and drive to the edge of the city.
There are very few high-speed vehicles, perhaps because it is not off work on weekdays. Euler can drive to a little over 100km/h, but to be on the safe side, set the cruise control when it reaches 95km/h-this car actually has cruise control! ? To be honest, I am quite surprised that such a car positioned for urban commuting and grocery shopping is equipped with cruise control. With no cars on the road and constant speed cruise, it is easy to drive at high speed.
As previously expected, if you drive at high speed and turn on the air conditioner, the driving distance will be discounted to 40%——basically do not step on the brakes at high speed, cannot recover kinetic energy, and the wind resistance is too large. After driving 140km, Euler has 120km of battery life remaining. We entered the service area to start charging for the first time. This charging is expected to take 50 minutes and charge to more than 90%. Continue to drive 80km, enter the service area for the second charge, this time only half an hour.
The feeling that new energy vehicles give me is that it should be long or short —the driving distance is nominally long, but it is actually very short;
We drove for a full five hours for the three-hour journey by oil truck. Although it is romantic to wander slowly, we dare not next time. Although it was slow, fortunately, there were no problems along the way, and the charging piles were sufficient, which took us to Beihai smoothly. However, it is worth noting that basically 2/3 of the charging piles in the service area are under maintenance, and it is not known whether they are really broken or not open. Lucky for us, we don’t have to wait every time.

Well, Beihai is close to the sea, so naturally there is nothing to eat except seafood.
Arriving in Beihai that night, I first went to Qiaogang Fengqing Street to find something to eat. This street is very lively, with snacks or seafood stalls on both sides. The road is basically full of people wearing flip-flops, wearing exaggerated colorful shirts, and the seaside atmosphere is full.
I chose a seafood restaurant that was well-received on Meituan, sat down at the door, and then went to the seafood area at the door to choose ingredients, which were freshly selected and cooked . Prawns, prawns, grouper, shellfish… These are naturally indispensable, plus a few stir-fried dishes, the dishes for six people are all ordered, and the average price is less than 100 per person, and the price is not bad.
It seems that crayfish are rarely seen here, which is very strange. Therefore, our shrimp can only be boiled and salt and pepper, neither of which I like very much. The expensive grouper was not tasty when it was steamed, it collapsed. Only the fried shellfish is okay, let me find a little comfort.
The second night was also a seafood feast. This time I chose the old street, and it was still the same recipe, but this time I miscalculated. I ordered a white strip weighing more than four catties and a few shellfish under the instigation of the boss. class, the two cost six hundred! In addition to other seafood, I spent more than 900 yuan this time, and that’s all. Besides, the fish with more than 400 yuan was not as delicious as I fried it, and it collapsed again.

Fortunately, the scenery is not bad, and it can barely soothe the injury I suffered from eating.
Beihai, besides the sea, is actually nothing else. On the first day, I went to Beihai Silver Beach first. Because it is the off-season and there are no tourists, you can drive directly to the parking lot inside. The fee is a bit high, 10 yuan/hour, and 5 yuan/hour after more than 1 hour. This point Very bad.
The sand on the silver beach is very fine, and it is very comfortable to step on. There are many holes near the waves, and there are small crabs living in them. When people walk past, they will run around, which is very healing. The sea breeze is very comfortable, the waves are not big, and most of the families bring their children to play in the water on the beach.
Later, I went to Guantouling, where the waves were much bigger, and the huge waves beat on the reef, stirring up layers of waves. Compared with Silver Beach, it is easier to produce films here, so most of the people who come here are for taking pictures, and at the same time, they can also watch the beautiful sunset here.
The next day, we didn’t go to other places. We planned to go back after playing on the beach downstairs of the hotel. After all, the sun was very hot after nine o’clock. To my surprise, the beach downstairs is no worse than that of Silver Beach. There are fewer people and the wind is strong. I really want to take an umbrella and blow it all day.

Euler is fully capable of such a self-driving tour, but it takes time. There are not many places to play in Beihai, except for the sea or the sea. Just pick some clean beaches and go for a walk. There is no need to go to places that are too commercial, unless you are rushing to take pictures and check in, then it is another Never mind. In addition, if you want to buy seafood, it is best to go to the port in the early morning, when it is the cheapest and freshest. If you go to the seafood market, the price will not be so low.
