Pinwan, July 4th, according to CCTV news reports, the Shudu and Tianfu smart rail trains made their debut in Chengdu today and officially carried passengers for a test run.
There are 2 vehicles in this test run, namely “Shudu” and “Tianfu”. The test run runs in the section of Chengdu bus K6 line, with a total length of about 12km and 7 stops. The whole journey time is about 25 minutes and the travel speed is about 29km/h. The starting and ending points are Wugui Bridge Station – Dong’an Lake Station, and the stops are Wugui Bridge, Yinghui Road, Qionglaishan Road, Hejin Road, East Hospital of Provincial Hospital, Honghe Interchange, and Dong’an Lake. The trial run ends on July 12.
It is reported that the intelligent rail express system is a “virtual track following control” technology independently developed by my country. It uses on-board sensors to identify the virtual track on the road, and accurately controls the train to travel on a predetermined virtual track through the instructions of the central control unit. The smart tram uses rubber wheels instead of steel wheels, and does not need to lay a tangible track. The minimum turning radius is only 15 meters, which is equivalent to a 12-meter bus. It can run flexibly on urban roads and has good urban adaptability.
