Siemens buys construction software firm Brightly for $1.6 billion

According to reports, Siemens will pay US$1.58 billion to acquire Brightly Software of the United States in order to add digital services to buildings and infrastructure, helping the company to transform into a software provider. Brightly has been controlled by private equity firm Clearlake Capital Group since 2019. Siemens said on Monday that Brightly will help Siemens meet its digital and software revenue growth goals. The North Carolina-based company expects revenue of $180 million this year. (Sina Technology)
