Legend: Musk
Phoenix Net Technology News Beijing time on December 21, people familiar with the matter said that Twitter owner and CEO Elon Musk (Elon Musk) is looking for a new CEO for the company. That work has been ongoing and started before Musk opened the polls.
Musk posted a poll on Twitter last Sunday, asking Twitter users whether he should step down as CEO of Twitter, and he will comply regardless of the outcome. The final vote showed that 58% of users supported him stepping down as CEO.
He has previously stated that he is only serving as CEO on an interim basis. In November of this year, Musk also stated in court that he would gradually reduce his working hours at Twitter and find other people to operate Twitter. However, he tweeted on Sunday that there would be no successor. “The problem is not finding a CEO, but finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive,” he said.
In October, Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion. But his leadership has already led to mass layoffs at Twitter, a surge in racist hate speech, advertisers fleeing or cutting spending on the platform and reinstating previously banned accounts. (Author/Xiao Yu)
