Sumatra PDF is a 16-year-old e-book reader that supports PDF, eBook (epub, mobi), comic book (cbz/cbr), DjVu, XPS, CHM and other formats, and even supports image browsing. Version 3.4 was recently released, adding some new features. @Appinn
One year is really fast. In my impression, the last version was released in July last year: Sumatra PDF 3.3 version was released, a lightweight open source PDF reader with a history of 15 years . I even found the DEMO document I used last year to take a screenshot
For this kind of open source software that uses love to generate electricity, Green Frog’s attitude is: use one day to be grateful for one day.
What’s New in Sumatra PDF 3.4
- Command Line Palette (Ctrl + K brings up, access to all features including opening recent documents, advanced options, higher languages, etc.)
- Customizable keyboard shortcuts
- Better support for epub files using mupdf’s epub engine.
- Added text selection and search functionality in eBook files
- Search/translate selected text using web services like DeepL
- Add -all-users when installing to install for all users
- Added advanced settings related to Annotations
- i keyboard shortcut to flip document colors (black to white, white to black)
- Shift + i display page number
- u and Shift+u keyboard shortcuts add an underline comment to the currently selected text
- Support for opening .heic image files (if Windows heic codec is installed)
- Added experimental smooth scrolling (enabled via SmoothScroll advanced settings)
