Talk about e-reading again

The previous article mentioned my book selection method , and last week I also finished reading “The Long Rest of Life” mentioned by Huang Zhangjin. In a “coincidence” this week, I saw that Professor Lu Ming’s new book “Central City” had been published, and immediately added it to the bookshelf and put it together with the “Nine People” I was reading as a pastime for the past two weeks. Lu Ming’s book, I recommend everyone to read it. This is a very important perspective for understanding China’s urbanization.

Here I want to digress and say a little more:

Gu Heng said that it took him about two and a half years to get used to the habit of reading e-books. Judging from his reading volume and reading category, it can be estimated that he would read 70-100 books every year, 350 yuan per book. Books about pages. From my own reading experience, these books are expected to cost around 1000 hours per year.

Roughly judged, switching from reading paper books to reading e-books requires about 3,000 hours of screen reading time. For most adults, they may be very accustomed to e-book reading for a lifetime. However, for young children, 3000 hours is not too long for them.

From my own experience, I use a series of e-book readers such as Kindle, and the total reading time is about 1000 hours, which is not too much, but not too little. At present, I have to say that I am used to reading books on the ink screen, and it is not entirely the case. Sometimes, some books have a certain texture. On e-books, the disappearance of this texture will affect the feeling of the content in the book, but sometimes, paper books are useless except for the burden. There are two sets of Wang Zengqi’s collections in my family, one of them I like to take out and touch when I have nothing to do, but the other set is rarely opened on the shelf.

But the benefit of e-book reading after it loses its sense of space is that it loses its sense of space. Take Lu Ming’s new book as an example. When I see a new book published, all I have to do is take out my phone, open WeChat to read, search for the title of the book, and add it to the bookshelf. Then take out the WeChat reader during the lunch break, open the book on the shelf, and turn two pages at will (some seniors have recommended how to judge whether a book is worth reading, turn the book to 69 pages, if you like it, It’s okay to read, it’s boring to read, it’s okay to give up).

Start reading, made easy because of e-reading. If you start reading for 5 minutes, there is a high probability of reading for 15 minutes, reading 15 minutes a day, and reading 10 books a year, which is not difficult.

Reading has never been easier.
