At present, the system has been running smoothly for several days, covering all the business data of Minsheng Insurance’s over 10 million policies and customers since its opening.
It took three years to build the industry’s first cloud-native life insurance core business system
It is understood that the new generation of life insurance business system of Minsheng Insurance took nearly three years to build, and it is the largest scientific and technological project since Minsheng Insurance started its transformation and development.
The new system actively embraces cutting-edge technology systems such as cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and privacy computing, and uses a large number of cloud-native technology components such as distributed databases and containers to provide technical support for flexible deployment and rapid expansion of the system. The high-concurrency business scenarios of the insurance industry, such as opening redemption and product promotion, also lay a technical foundation for the business system to face the complex and changing customer needs in the future.
Among them, the application of enterprise-level distributed database TDSQL and the ultimate processing performance of millions of IOPS in a single cluster have greatly improved the concurrent processing capability and elastic expansion capability of core policy transactions. The core business database realizes the dual-center and active-active structure in the same city. In the event of an emergency failure, the same city can achieve second-level switching and zero transaction data loss, which comprehensively improves the business continuity of the core insurance business.
At the same time, the new system also builds an automated launch testing and quasi-production environment, and establishes software life-cycle management and governance capabilities from development to operation, to operation and maintenance monitoring through DevOps, and realizes the automation of the whole process from core production drills. It is understood that the private enterprise cloud of Minsheng Insurance is built based on Tencent Cloud’s full-stack proprietary cloud solution TCE, including a private cloud with 70% of nodes based on the general X86 architecture and a private cloud with 30% of nodes based on nationally produced chips. Both “two clouds” are fully compatible with localized basic software and hardware, support “one cloud and multiple cores” adaptation, and can provide unified computing, network, storage and other standard IaaS services for the people’s livelihood insurance business system, as well as databases, message queues, caches , object storage, file storage, security and other standard PaaS services.
At the same time, the cloud platform also has a built-in one-stop native operation and maintenance system, which supports more than 8,000 monitoring indicators and automatic inspection capabilities. Only 2-3 operation and maintenance personnel can support the operation and maintenance of the cloud platform.
