At the end of August last year, the State Press and Publication Administration issued the “Notice on Further Strict Management to Effectively Prevent Minors from Indulging in Online Games,” limiting minors’ weekly online gaming time to three hours. All online game companies can only provide one-hour service to minors from 20:00 to 21:00 every day on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays. In September last year, major online game operators such as Tencent and NetEase were interviewed and asked to strictly abide by the regulations. Now entering the summer of the new year, Tencent, the largest game operator by revenue, confirmed that this restriction will not change : minors are still only allowed to play every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 20:00-21:00 Log in to the game.
