According to foreign media Drive Tesla Canada, Tesla’s Model Y performance version built at its Berlin Gigafactory has been delayed several times because of what appears to be a problem with its electric SUV drive unit. There is feedback from users that their new cars that were scheduled to be delivered on the 25th and next week have been cancelled and delayed indefinitely. There have been previous responses that the issue appears to be OTA fixable, but that doesn’t appear to be the case now. A Tesla employee said the problem was related to the voltage converter on the drive unit. The issue reportedly involves a replacement part that is not currently available. (Financial Association)
