I felt a little strange in my throat on Friday. I didn’t pay much attention to it. On Saturday (December 10), I started to have a fever. I made a small pot of tomato and egg drop soup by myself. I added a little chili, and I drank a small pot of hot soup. I was sweating a lot. Of course, my throat hurt. Sunday (December 11) was the worst day for me. My body temperature was around 38.2 throughout the day. I hadn’t been energetic since the morning. After eating breakfast, I slept from 10 o’clock to 15 o’clock in the afternoon. I sweated for a while this day , but the body temperature could not drop, it was always at 38.2, and then I was hesitating whether to take ibuprofen, but I felt that the body temperature was not very high, and then, I drank some cold medicine before going to bed. On Sunday, my mother-in-law also had a fever, 38.5, and she had pain all over her body, including her throat. On this day, we can’t do anything at home, we can only let our children do some things, and we only order takeaway.

On Monday (December 12th), I woke up at 38.5. After the weekly meeting, I saw many people saying that Tylenol was useful, and then I searched the house, but I couldn’t find it. Forget it, I still took two packs of cold medicine (I found out later , Chinese patent medicines are also mixed with acetaminophen, it seems that Chinese medicine has no confidence in itself), so I was sweating all afternoon, and I didn’t have any appetite all day long. At around 17 o’clock in the afternoon, my body temperature was normal It was 36.7, but it reached 37 degrees at night, and I started coughing up phlegm and a slight runny nose, but I felt nothing happened. But my wife’s fever subsided, and she said she should be fine.

This is the cold medicine I take. Note: Why do we need caffeine? The instructions say that we are afraid of drowsiness caused by acetaminophen, so we use caffeine to dissolve it. This compound logic has no flaws.

When I got up on Tuesday (December 13), my body temperature was still 37 degrees. And my wife had a fever again, and her throat was so sore that she couldn’t speak or swallow anything. My throat is okay, but it is dry and slightly sore, and my head does not hurt but dizziness.

The whole process was not uncomfortable for me and my child. I had a fever for three days and slept for three days. My throat was dry and slightly sore. It was much better than the previous viral cold. The sore throat caused by the previous viral cold I couldn’t even swallow my saliva. But it’s different for my wife. At first she was in pain all over and her throat was dry. Now her throat hurts like a knife and she can’t speak. This may also vary from person to person.

Precautions

If you can physically cool down, don’t take medicine to cool down. If physical cooling doesn’t work, you have to take ibuprofen and Tylenol (Lin), these two medicines are very helpful, but you should not be able to buy them in pharmacies, so you can buy Chinese patent medicines or compound medicines, anyway. Traditional Chinese medicine is useless, and almost all Chinese patent medicines have been added with “acetaminophen”, which can be regarded as “indirect” or “compound” Tylenol (Lin). However, don’t take too much, otherwise, the dosage will be superimposed, which will cause you kidney poisoning. See ” These so-called “Chinese patent medicines”, the key raw material is acetaminophen, be careful to overdose when taking it “

Also, drink plenty of water. 1) Antipyretics such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen (paracetamol) can speed up sweating and cause dehydration. 2) Antipyretics such as ibuprofen are mainly metabolized in the liver, and 60% to 90% are excreted through the kidneys with urine. Drinking plenty of water can speed up the excretion of drugs and reduce the damage to liver and kidney caused by antipyretic drugs. 3) Sweating and urination will help the body remove some heat.

How much water to drink varies from person to person, generally between 2.5 liters and 4 liters, depending on how often you go to the toilet. I was sweating from the day before yesterday to today, so I didn’t go to the toilet much when I drank water. In the past two days, I drank about 4 liters a day. In short, if you have a fever and take antipyretics, you should drink plenty of water.

Also, life can be a bit inconvenient if the whole family falls ill, so you have to be prepared:

1) Order bottled water in advance, the 18L type, so that people can deliver water to the home, and the water will be used quickly during fever.

2) In the affairs of life, we must be prepared for the whole family to fall ill. Cooking can only be done at the convenience of the hour or fast food. Keep some milk, bread, cereal, ham sausage, fruit, etc. at home to ensure nutrition . If it doesn’t work, order takeaway. My family has ordered takeaway for three days. Also, let the children run errands to the vegetable market and supermarket to buy things with the video on…

3) It is still necessary to prepare the medicine in advance. When I was preparing the medicine, I found that I only found ibuprofen and Ganmao Granules.
