The development of coal deep processing can reduce my country’s dependence on imported oil and natural gas, and is also an important choice for the country to adjust its energy structure. The coal gasification process requires a lot of oxygen, which is obtained by air separation, and the air separation unit is the most upstream equipment in the coal chemical industry. However, super-large air separation compressors have extremely stringent requirements for design and manufacture, and their core technologies have long been mastered by a few foreign companies.
The supporting project for the equipment shortlisted for Shengu is “Ningxia Yinchuan Shenhua Ning Coal Indirect Coal Liquefaction Project of 4 million tons/year”, which was the largest single-unit coal-to-liquid project in the world at that time. The total investment of the project is about 55 billion yuan. It undertakes the localization tasks of many major national technologies, equipment and materials. It is of great significance for my country to enhance its independent energy security capability, promote the clean and efficient utilization of coal, and promote the development of ethnic areas.
