The above is the well-known electronic manufacturing service research website MMI (Manufacturing Market Insider), after an annual survey of more than 100 largest EMS companies, announced the list of the world’s top 50 largest EMS service providers in the past year. In addition to ranking suppliers by 2021 sales, the MMI 50 list includes sales growth, previous rankings, number of employees, number of factories, facility space, space in low-cost areas, number of SMT lines, and customer data.
Top 50 EMS sales will be $417 billion in 2021, an increase of $38 billion or 9.9% over 2020. Foxconn achieved 10.9% revenue growth from 2020 to 2021, accounting for nearly half of the top 10 revenue (48%); Flextronics revenue growth (–1.8%); BYD Electronics revenue growth (35.5%); SIIX revenue Growth rate (30.1%); Guanghong Technology revenue growth rate (141%); Crescens revenue growth rate (58.3%); Connect Group revenue growth rate (274%); Katek revenue growth rate (25.6%); Huatai Electronics revenue growth rate (47.9%); LACROIX revenue growth rate (62.8%); SMT revenue growth rate (31.3%), etc.
Overall, Asia Pacific accounted for approximately 82.0% of the EMS 50’s revenue, the Americas accounted for 16.0% of the revenue, and the EMEA region accounted for 1.9%, primarily due to extensive acquisition activity. The EMEA region has been a major beneficiary of communications and computer replacements and upgrades taking place in 2021. The medical device market expanded strongly in all three regions, as did the automotive market, due to surging interest in electric vehicles.
