Pinwan, November 1, according to the official news of China’s Beidou satellite navigation system, on October 31, the Long March 5B Yao-4 rocket carrying the Mengtian experimental module was successfully launched at the Wenchang launch site in Hainan.
Different from the Tianhe core module and the Wentian experimental module, the Mengtian experimental module has a star product Beidou short message communication subsystem. This is the first time this product has been verified on the space station. Beidou short message communication subsystem is developed by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation Fifth Academy Aerospace Star Technology Co., Ltd. This product has both Beidou regional short message and global short message communication capabilities. Astronauts can use the customized APP software on their mobile phones to communicate with their families by text message or voice anytime, anywhere.
