IT House reported on December 3, citing Korean media QuasarZone that AMD is developing a 16-core Ryzen 7000 X3D processor internally. The report also pointed out that the 3D V-Cache AMD Ryzen CPU will have three versions of 8-core, 12-core and 16-core , but the clock frequency remains similar to that of the non-X3D processor, which means it can reach 5.7GHz.
Currently at least 3 sources claim that AMD will launch a 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X3D, a 12-core Ryzen 9 7900X3D and an 8-core Ryzen 7 SKU (probably 7700X3D or 7800X3D), and there is no 6-core that supports 3D V-Cache processor.
According to Wccftech, the TDP of all three SKUs is 170W, which means that the TDP of the 8-core CPU will be higher than the 105W of the 7700X. Currently, it’s unclear whether the upcoming X3D parts will support overclocking like the original SKU. According to reports, the AMD Ryzen 7000X3D series will be launched in January 2023, which means that it may be officially announced at CES 2023. Pricing should be similar to the non-3D V-Cache models.
