In accordance with the requirements of the digital renminbi pilot, Tianjin Highway Network Operation Management Co., Ltd. affiliated to the Tianjin Highway Center and the Tianjin Branch of the Agricultural Bank of China have reached a strategic cooperation to promote the application of digital renminbi in the city’s expressway toll payment. At present, 138 toll stations and 411 artificial lanes in the city will fully support the payment and settlement of digital RMB tolls from 0:00 on January 1.
Citizens can download the digital renminbi app of the People’s Bank of China and bind the bank card of the Agricultural Bank of China for online exchange. The digital renminbi adopts a number of security certifications, and transactions cannot be tampered with, which can ensure the safety of citizens when using it.
Citizens can open the “Digital RMB” App homepage in the mixed (artificial) lane of Tianjin Expressway Toll Station, swipe up to display the “Pay to Merchant” function, show the QR code payment code, and the toll collector can scan the QR code to complete it easily Digital RMB payment.
Citizens can use digital renminbi to pay tolls on Tianjin Expressway, issue invoices with electronic tickets, receive QR code receipts on the spot, scan the QR code with their mobile phones, and register according to the corresponding prompts through the “ticket stub” applet. IT Home has learned that the Digital RMB (Pilot Version) App is China’s legal digital currency – the official service platform for digital RMB pilots for individual users, providing digital RMB personal wallet opening and management, digital RMB exchange and circulation services. The digital renminbi will carry out research and development trials in pilot areas and pilot scenarios, and pilot customers can register for the digital renminbi app.
The scope of the digital renminbi app pilot has expanded again. On the one hand, the previous Shenzhen, Suzhou, Xiongan New Area, and Chengdu have been expanded to Guangdong, Jiangsu, Hebei, and Sichuan provinces; on the other hand, Jinan in Shandong, Nanning and Fangchenggang in Guangxi, Kunming in Yunnan, and Xishuangbanna have been added as pilot areas .
