In the past, because the CPU and memory were limited, the program needed to be finely polished, and the volume was usually small, and it took up very little CPU and memory resources. But today’s CPUs are powerful enough and have enough memory that not many programmers optimize their programs anymore, and the result is that programs become increasingly bloated . For example, an upload tool client 230MB has 2700 files. There are hundreds of background processes in Windows, multiple graphics card processes are running even when no games are running, and a dozen related processes are running even when Microsoft Edge is not used. This is the reason why we may need to replace mobile phones every year. It is not the slow CPU speed of mobile phones but the extreme inefficiency of software developed by enterprises . Simple and elegant software is already a thing of the past.
