A Delaware judge hearing Elon Musk’s dispute with Twitter on Thursday postponed the hearing , granting Musk’s request. Musk’s reasoning is that he needs time to complete the financing needed for the acquisition. Twitter responded that Musk’s latest promise to buy Twitter could not be trusted . In a filing opposing Musk’s motion to stay the trial, Twitter said, “On the eve of the trial, the defendants announced their intention to close the deal, ‘trust us,’ they said, ‘this time for seriousness,’ so they wanted to be spared the trial. “Twitter sees the proposal on Musk’s side as an act of delay and further damage. Musk said he needed time to raise money, but a legal representative of a lending bank testified that Musk did not send them a borrowing notice or other communication of plans to close the deal, and there was no timetable. Twitter called Musk himself a major hurdle, refused to commit to any deadlines and demanded an open-ended exit to the detriment of Twitter shareholders.
