On the evening of April 22, the Beijing Universal Studios Resort issued an announcement confirming the accidental death of a tourist and related equipment has been temporarily shut down.
According to the announcement, at the beginning of this week, a tourist had an emergency in the Decepticon roller coaster area of the Universal Resort in Beijing and needed medical assistance.
The resort immediately took first aid measures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED), and rushed to the hospital in time. Later, it was learned that the tourist died after the rescue failed.
The resort is deeply saddened and expresses its deepest condolences to the deceased and their relatives for the unfortunate experience of the deceased and their relatives, and asks everyone to respect the privacy of the deceased and their relatives.
Out of prudent consideration and the need to cooperate with relevant departments for verification, the riding equipment is temporarily closed.
Universal Resort emphasized that after a comprehensive inspection, the equipment is operating normally as designed and in compliance with safety standards , and will resume operation of the equipment as soon as possible.
