3. Raycast AI experience

I introduced Raycast before, a launcher tool on macOS. After the latest version supports GPT-4, it is getting closer and closer to an “artifact”.

In the AI function of Raycast, users are supported to customize the AI model by writing AI command. My experience is that writing AI command is to use {selected} , {clipboard} and {argument} flexibly.

I give two examples. The first example is getting Raycast AI to do text processing.

I created an AI command called Assistant, the prompt is Process {selection} according to {argument} .

After I select the text, I call out Raycast and input commands, and I can let the AI process the selected content.

There are many ways to process text through this AI command, such as adding emoji to the selected text, writing titles, translating, correcting typos, and summarizing the content… Enter clear enough instructions, and AI can do it for me.

The second example is having Raycast AI act as a code language detector.

Sometimes I can choose the code language when using code blocks in Heptabase and Notion, but I don’t understand code, what should I do?
