After years of resistance, several of the nation’s top business schools have begun offering online MBA programs. Beginning next year, Penn’s Wharton MBA for mid-level executives and part-time MBA students will have the option to complete most of its courses online. Part-time MBA students at the NYU Stern School of Business and the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business will have the option of completing their studies online starting this fall. Tuition fees are the same for online and offline courses, and students who take online courses will receive the same degrees and certificates as students who go to school. According to the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), online MBA programs have enrolled more students than offline MBA programs in the past two years.
