In September, the company was in shock. For a while, I didn’t want to read, nor did I want to read. Most of the books were read before the shock. It can be seen that without a stable environment, nothing is efficient.

Since I was planning to go to the Dunhuang exhibition, I have read some Dunhuang-related books during this time. If I just go to see the flowers and take pictures of tourists, I will fail the spirit of this thousand years.

  • “Dunhuang: The People Are Called” : Finished reading. Interview records of key staff members in Dunhuang over the past century. What is there in Dunhuang? who is there? What attracted them?
  • “Shock and Repercussions: He Zhaowu on Culture” : Finished reading. The whole is ok, some chapters are inspiring. It mainly talks about Chinese and Western cultures, especially the impact of Western culture on Chinese culture, and the reflections it brings.
  • “Introduction to Dunhuang Studies” : finished. An introductory book describing what Dunhuang Studies is and why there is such a discipline. The appendix selected “Dunhuang – A Great Cultural Treasure” is a good book.
  • “A Pre-publicized Murder” : Read it. A short but powerful story, as the title describes, with the ending and characters told in advance, and still readable, Marquez’s writing goes beyond “One Hundred Years of Solitude.”
  • “One Hundred Years of Solitude” : Finished reading. It’s an interesting story, but unfortunately it’s too late.
  • “Touching the Soul of the Age: He Zhaowu on Reading” : Finished reading. I said before that this book was not very good, but after reading it, I actually felt it was okay.
  • “Sea Anemone” : Finished reading. A mystery novel with a good plot, but the motives of the characters are far-fetched.
  • The Brothers Karamazov : Read it. Opening the door of Tuo’s, this book is undoubtedly worth reading again.
  • The Road to Serfdom : Currently reading. In this era of hanging banners that “doing nucleic acid diligently is the only way to freedom”, we need to read this book even more. The version translated by China Social Science Press is relatively rough, and I plan to read Yin Haiguang’s version of “The Road to Serfdom” first.
  • “Dead House Notes” : Reading. Tuo’s Siberian hard labor novel, has the feeling of reading Wang Xuetai’s “Prison Trivia”.
  • “Man does not live by bread alone” : Currently reading. Selected letters of Tuo’s family, understand Tuo’s family from another angle.
