Pinwan, July 17, Xiaomi was recently fined 3.2 million euros (about 21.76 million yuan) in Italy. Italy’s competition watchdog said the smartphone maker refused to repair the phone’s main problem when the product (still covered by warranty) showed scratches or other minor defects.
Xiaomi responded that it had taken note of the decision of the Italian Competition Authority ( AGCM ) and was evaluating the reasons behind it. “We reiterate that Xiaomi has always adhered to legal and compliant operations and abide by the relevant laws and regulations of the place of operation. We are committed to providing every Italian user with the most perfect after-sales service experience possible.”
