The divorce of Xu Xiang, the former “big brother of private equity”, has been silent for a long time. Recently, Xu Xiang’s wife Ying Ying has spoken out that the divorce case will soon have a result.
Play back the divorce case between Ying Ying and Xu Xiang. According to public information, on November 1, 2015, Xu Xiang, the legal representative and general manager of Shanghai Zexi Investment Management Co., Ltd. obtained insider information on the stock market through illegal means, engaged in insider trading, and manipulated stock trading prices. The police arrested him according to law. In January 2017, Xu Xiang was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months in prison, fined 11 billion yuan, and about 9.337 billion yuan of illegal income in the case was confiscated. Due to Xu Xiang’s long-term detention, resulting in disharmony between husband and wife, Ying Ying asked the court to handle divorce and custody rights, and to claim property issues in a separate case.
As a result of Xu Xiang’s sentence, the assets of six listed companies whose company shares were directly or indirectly held by Xu Xiang’s family were frozen by the Qingdao Municipal Public Security Bureau after the case was judged. Ying Ying said that in the judgment, the sentence “after identifying the ownership and nature of the property involved in the case transferred along with the case, deal with it according to law” has become her biggest entanglement in the past few years, and it has also become the biggest difficulty and ups and downs for Ying Ying and Xu Xiang’s marriage . She repeatedly asked the Qingdao Intermediate People’s Court to speed up the identification of assets. So far, the assets involved in the Xu Xiang case have been identified. In this court session, Ying Ying added a request for property division in addition to divorce and custody rights. Whatever the outcome, we can only wait for the court’s decision.
