Good morning friends, the following is the Morning Post of Travel Research brought by the interns:

1. According to Bloomberg News, Microsoft is undergoing large-scale layoffs, and about 10,000 employees are affected. 343 Industries, which was in charge of Halo Infinite, was hit hard in the layoffs. Creative director Joseph Staten was transferred from his current position to the Xbox publishing department; a large number of employees responsible for the single-player mode in the studio were laid off, and about 60 people were fired.

Some divisions of Bethesda and Xbox have also been hit by layoffs, although the exact number of employees laid off is unclear.

2. The law firm Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating false advertisements in Diablo Immortal and is preparing to file a lawsuit against Blizzard.

The firm stated that the game previously had a gem at level 1 and 2 that had a “chance to deal damage equal to 12% of maximum health”, but at level 3, the effect changed to ” There is a chance to cause damage equal to 12% of the current HP.” Blizzard later confirmed that there was a description error in the game, and the effect of the gem should be based on the description of the third level.

The lawyer believes that this is not an unintentional mistake, but Blizzard’s deliberate effort, which is equivalent to defrauding players of consumption through false propaganda. So far, Blizzard has not compensated players for the error.

5. Recently, the CEO of Ubisoft asked employees in an internal letter to “carefully spend, streamline and be efficient”, which is considered to be a signal for employees to work overtime, pay cuts and layoffs. The Ubisoft Paris union is already preparing for a strike against the CEO.

Now the CEO has formally apologized to all employees, and the apology was made during an internal Ubisoft Q&A event. However, at the event, the employees’ proposals to improve working conditions were not recognized, and the labor union’s demand for a 10% wage increase was also rejected.
