At 01:00 a.m. on September 8th, Beijing time, Apple held a special event for the release of new products in autumn called “Super Prospective”. The new products announced at this conference include a new iPhone series, a reshaped AirPods Pro, and three new Apple Watches.
Apple Watch Series 8
The conference first introduced Apple Watch Series 8. The product has built-in advanced health sensors that can help users gain insight into their own health status, including sleep duration, heart rate, blood oxygen level, etc.
The series also adds a body temperature sensing function to help women better understand their health. Apple emphasizes that health status data is only stored on the device, and it comes with multiple encryption protections.
Apple Watch Series 8 adds a new car crash detection feature: when a car crash is detected, the feature will proactively contact emergency assistance, provide the location to the person receiving the report, and notify the user’s emergency contacts. In addition, functions such as fall detection and SOS emergency contact have also been added.
The series features a low-power mode with up to 18 hours of battery life and up to 36 hours in low-power mode; low-power mode can be applied to Apple Watch Series 4 and later.
Apple Watch Series 8 will be available on September 16, starting at $399 (National Bank price: 2999 yuan, the same below).
Apple Watch SE
Apple has announced the launch of the new Apple Watch SE, priced at $249 (1,999 yuan) for the GPS version and $299 for the cellular version, which will be officially launched on September 16. The Apple Watch SE has the same motion sensor as the Series 8.
Apple Watch Ultra
Apple also announced a new Apple Watch Ultra, aimed at extreme activities, with up to 36 hours of battery life, accurate dual-frequency GPS and cellular.
The Apple Watch Ultra comes with a 49mm titanium case, and the display can reach a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. According to the ISO 22810 standard, the watch is water-resistant to 100 meters and can be used for recreational scuba diving and high-speed water sports up to a depth of 40 meters. The official website calls it “a computer that can dive.”
The Apple Watch Ultra is priced at $799 (6,299 yuan) and will go on sale on September 23.
AirPods Pro second generation
Apple launched the new AirPods Pro, equipped with H2 chip, which will provide personalized spatial audio, and the noise reduction effect is up to 1 times higher than the previous generation.
In terms of battery life, the new earphones can last up to 6 hours on a single charge, and can be extended to 30 hours when used with the charging box.
The new AirPods Pro starts at $249 (1,899 yuan), and will be available for order on September 9 and will be available on September 23.
iPhone 14
Apple released the iPhone 14 series models, the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus retain the previous notch design.
On the hardware side, the iPhone 14 series is powered by the A15 chip with a new 12-megapixel main camera; the iPhone 14 Plus has the longest battery life; and from now on, all US iPhones will no longer have a SIM card slot.
According to the official website, the iPhone 14 Plus has a battery life of up to 26 hours, while the iPhone 14 has a battery life of up to 20 hours.
The iPhone 14 series will have a fault detection function and an SOS emergency contact function via satellite. The emergency contact service will roll out first in the U.S. and Canada in November.
The iPhone 14 starts at $799 (5,999 yuan), which is $100 higher than the price of last year’s iPhone 13, and will be officially released on September 16; Officially released on the 7th.
The “Pill Screen” is here, and Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro series adopts a new design
Consistent with the latest revelations, the iPhone 14 Pro series adopts a new design of “pill screen”. In terms of appearance, there are dark purple, gold, silver and space black to choose from.
The two Pro mobile phones are equipped with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screens respectively, and the display refresh rate can be as low as 1Hz, with two new functions of all-weather display and smart island. The iPhone 14 Pro’s telephoto camera has been improved, up to twice as much; and it uses a four-in-one pixel sensor with a main camera of up to 48 million pixels.
The iPhone 14 Pro is equipped with the new A16 bionic chip, using the latest 4nm technology, nearly 16 billion transistors, a 6-core central processing unit (2 of which are high-performance), and a 5-core graphics processor, while reducing power consumption by 20%.
In terms of battery life, the iPhone 14 Pro Max can last up to 29 hours, and the iPhone 14 Pro can last up to 23 hours.
The iPhone 14 Pro starts at $999 (7,999 yuan), and the iPhone 14 Pro Max starts at $1,099 (8,999 yuan). Pre-orders will be accepted on September 9 and will be officially released on September 16.
It’s worth mentioning that last year’s iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max were also priced at $999 and $1,099.
