The type of comment we’re talking about is when someone (or a group of people) creates multiple accounts to leave comments about plugins. This is a global problem. Fake reviews aren’t just a big problem on WordPress.org. Amazon, in particular, is riddled with fake reviews, and they’re getting harder to spot. Finding them before they get “too bad” is an ongoing battle. We’re not perfect, which is why the first time we see someone leaving a fake review, we warn them.
