Titanium Media App reported on April 24 that Jack Dorsey is no longer the CEO of Block. At least he no longer uses the title. In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday, Block, formerly known as Square, said Dorsey had changed his title to Block Head & Chairperson. Block updated its articles of incorporation to reflect Dorsey's new role, removing the company's requirement to have executives as CEO and president. In 2009, Dorsey co-founded Square with Jim McKelvey. The company has mostly focused on making payments, but has recently made inroads into the crypto market, mostly through its cash app. In December last year, the company changed its name to Block. The company said Square had become synonymous with the seller's business of selling goods, and that "rebranding the company" created room for further growth. (Source: Sina Technology)
